This artificial dam and lake is 68 kilometres away
from Salta.
Surrounded by hills, it covers an area of
250 square kilometres.
People practise sailing, waterskiing,
kayak, banana-floating, jet-skiing, bungeejumping,
puenting, tirolesa and water sliding.
White-water rafting can be practised in the Juramento rapids
all year round. One can also explore some caves with paintings
on their walls, track down dinosaurs’ trails and observe algae

Not far from the Dam there is a place called
Guachipas. Two hours away the village, in Las Juntas, painted
caves can be visit. There paintings were made between the 900
and the 1470.
