Salta wines
Internationally renowned and featuring several awards, Salta wines are currently taking part in médium/high segments, Premium and Extra Premium in the main markets.

Due to climate and soil characteristics, as well as the vineyards age, its grape varieties concentrate more aromas and color than in other wine-making regions, highlighting its quality and forging its own character.

In the valley, several grape varieties are grown, coming to the fore Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec, although the most emblematic one is Torrontés, a white cepage characteristic of Argentine wines, being this country the only producer. The origin of this varietal is uncertain as well as argued, it might be the result of a mutation of some cepage accidentally crossed with wild vines. Its implantation is excellent in the Calchaqui Valley, where its best expression is acquired.

The Torrontés perfume has floral and vegetable reminiscences. Its intense flavor will fill the mouth well unfolding all its personality that makes it unforgettable once identified, with a slight sour touch, very typical of the varietal.

Red wines, on the other hand, are of great structure, high anthocyanin (intense color) content, amiable tannins in palate, poliphenolic structure and good ageing potential.

Malbec is the most extended and characteristic cepage in Argentine viticulture. Most international experts will coincide in defining Argentine Malbec as the best in the world. In the Calchaquí Valleys, it achieves outstanding descriptors due to its vines´ altitude, being able to define these wines as round, aromatic and of intense color.
