Climate is arid, dry and mild, with a wide temperature range that can reach 20º C (68º F) between day and night, favoring ripeness and concentration of aromas.
The mean time free from frost comprises 230 days and lower mean precipitations are 200 mm annually.
On the other hand, winds ensure the sanity of the vineyards, having less likelihood of diseases due to low humidity weather; canopies as well as grape bunches will get dry rapidly. |

| Soils are frank-sandy of good potassium content provided by the mother rock and scarce phosphorus and nitrogen content, with good permeability that avoids the accumulation of water. |

| Water is taken mainly from the Calchaquí and Santa Maria rivers, it originates in the melting of the pre-mountain range o through water well drilling. In the fittest zones water quality is C1S1 (saltless and sodioum-free). |
